I got up early this morning to go vote before work. I got to the polls about 7:10am. There was already a line well out the door and I debated at whether to stay, or to go home and get to work on time. But, as I was driving, the Boy Scouts from our ward were out putting up flags on the lawns and down Telegraph Street. It was a great reminder that voting is a privilege that I NEED to take advantage of. I ended up only 10-15 minutes late for work, with a sense of pride and patriotism that I wouldn't have had if I would had skipped voting this morning.
I am grateful to live in this country, I am grateful for those who have sacrificed so much for my freedoms, and I pray for the perpetuation of the faith and values on which this great nation was founded.
